Raised in South Florida, Dr. Morello attended Carlos Albizu University for her graduate studies in psychology, receiving her Doctor of Psychology degree in 2019. She completed her graduate-level internship at Providence Saint John’s Child and Family Development Center in Santa Monica, CA, where she specialized in providing services at a therapeutic preschool for children ages 2-4 with emotional and behavioral disorders. She completed her post-doctoral residency at Nova Southeastern University’s Mailman Segal Center, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorder. Dr. Morello utilizes Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) informed interventions, play therapy informed interventions, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Managing and Adaptive Practice (MAP), and parent training in behavioral techniques.
Dr. Morello sees children through adults for the treatment of diagnoses that include ADHD, anxiety, and mood disorders. One of her main specialties of practice in her field is identifying Autism Spectrum Disorders and working with patients who are “on the spectrum” across the lifespan. She also works with preschool age children (3 +) with social skills difficulties, emotional disturbances, and behavioral challenges, understanding the role early intervention has on a child’s future success. Dr. Morello values the therapeutic relationship she forms with each patient and their family, providing a warm and safe space to be heard and understood. She finds it helpful to include family members in the treatment of children and adolescents to best help her patients not only cope with stressors, but better communicate their needs with family members.
Dr. Morello is bilingual in English and Spanish, and has been professionally trained to work with patients in both English and Spanish languages for therapy and assessment services.
